Tasneem’s

Win-Win

PEACE/SALAAM to friends & family…

This is a site to honor and remember our dear Tasneem

When Tasneem went to the hospital for her bone marrow transplant in July 2022, she remarked:

Mama, this is a win-win situation. If it works and I come out well, Alhamdulilah. If it doesn’t, I will be with Allah, and you’ll be jealous that I got to be with Him before you!

Do you have a memory or reflection about Tasneem that you would like shared on this site?

  1. What a beautiful young woman who radiated joy and good vibratons. May she enter the highest levels of jannah and her famiky find piece in knowing that she’s there..

  2. Allah bira sebi najljepse dzenetske ptice i uzima ih sebi nekada prerano.

  3. Taz and I went to high school together, and though we didnt communicate so much after graduation i was heart broken when i heard about her passing. Taz’s humor and lightning-quick wit always electrified a room, and what i remember most vividly about her was—not that i could keep up—but i was always under the impression that her brain was many steps ahead of everyone around her and i always wanted to hear what she would say next. Wishing peace to you and your family Taz, it was an honor to know you.

  4. I, too, was heartbroken to learn of Taz’s passing. Taz was a student in my 9th grade English class, and from her first day in class, I knew I was lucky to have her as a student. Taz brought such genuine warmth, humor, and often brilliant insight to our discussions of literature and life. When I think of her, I think of her beautiful smile, her wry wit, and frequently the healthy dose of skepticism she brought to the examination of what was before her. She was beautiful inside and out and all the more beautiful because she moved through the world with little consciousness of her beauty. Taz, I will always remember you for the joy, insight and surprise you brought to our classes. I have no doubt that you have touched many lives in your too brief time with us, and will live on in all of us as we treasure our memories of you.
